the people that say this DLC is "Too Hard" obviously never played previous games in the fromsoft library though even i must admit, that i found three bosses in particular to be obnoxiously overtuned, even for NG+7, but make no mistake, these boss encounters are fromsoft at their best, throwing all of their accumulative souls knowledge at us from 20 years of making these games, and its a fucking blast :D

sorry. but no way this is a blind playthrough. between parry godding, no issues with lock on, knowing how to jump, finding virtually impossible to find items on first pass. seen too many actual blind playthroughs to buy into this. Shame; i would have stayed to watch a not blind playthrough... but im good on a fake blind playthrough.

Yeah, this boss is an actual monster. I took her third attempt using both the summon, mimic and the most overleveled chunk of armor you can imagine and it was like throwing oranges into a blender.

You damage negotiaton looks very low. Maybe work on that, find more scadutree fragments, check your talismans or look for items to consume that boost your defense.

By now it's clear that FromSoft intends for it's audience to play Co Op if they can, and use summons if not. The base game's difficulty was tuned to prefer summons, but people insisted on playing solo because "that's the only right way to experience the game." Well FromSoft didn't take too kindly to that and have responded with "you WILL summon, or you WILL have a bad time." And that isn't a bad thing. Their vision for the game is clearly to develop a tight-knit community, from the Lore channels, to the PVP, to the PVE, they want us to work together.

Dee beat this boss in 107 attempts, EXACTLY as many as he needed for Malenia. Though he did later admit he may have been too early in this fight and had he explored the dlc a bit more before he would have beat Rellana much quicker.

When U won this boss fight, I flung out of my chair, and cheered u on. Congrats man🎉

She kind of reminds me of Dancer of the Boreal Valley from Dark Soul 3. I'm definitely see the dance like motions going on with her, can't wait to fight this boss. Currently running my best friend through Elden Ring for his first time and plan to play the DLC as soon as we complete the final boss and Malenia.

Rellena is one of two things. She either wings it and gives you the easiest win of the game. Or she goes full gamer mode and rips your body into unholy smithereens.

You can probably get by every boss with your preferred setup if you make use of the DLC mechanics, but the final boss is a whole other story. I’ve respecced multiple times, farmed rune arcs, etc. and I still haven’t beaten it after 3 days.
